Join Clean Lakes Alliance for our first annual Frozen Assets Fat Bike Race on Lake Mendota!
This NIGHT race will start and end at The Edgewater. Participants will cruise across the ice on iconic Lake Mendota and pass by downtown Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Choose from a single lap, 4.25 mile course or a three lap, 12.75 mile course. Top finishers will get medals and prizes to be announced. Best of all, your registration supports work to protect and improve water quality in our lakes!
First-time competitors can select the "novice" division. Please note that we recommend tires of 3.8 inches or wider to compete. Tickets are transferrable and non-refundable. We look forward to joining you on the ice!
**See below for the planned race route. 14.25 mile competitors will complete three laps. Race organizers reserve the right to alter the course due to factors including but not limited to ice conditions and weather**
Competitors may park at The Edgewater ($5 event parking) or in City of Madison parking garages. You may access the ice down The Edgewater outdoor stairs, indoors through The Edgewater, at the end of N. Carroll street to the west, and from James Madison Park to the east.
The third annual Frozen Assets Festival, a family-friendly daytime event to be held indoors and outdoors at The Edgewater, will run throughout the weekend of Friday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 5th. As always, the Festival will be FREE and open to all. Learn more at www.cleanlakesalliance.org/frozen-assets
Thank you to our current title sponsors CG Schmidt, Lands' End, Hovde Properties and Spectrum Brands and our platinum hosting sponsor The Edgewater. Event proceeds will benefit our work to reduce phosphorus pollution to our lakes.
